Selfcare, collaborative platforms, video-expertise, drones, 3D scanners, digital modelling, there are many innovations and tools available to the insurance expert today. We are aware that the use of these new technologies can improve the work of the expert, but we believe that innovation is only possible if the client experience is positively impacted. That is why the innovation of services within Stelliant Expertise is done above all to make the customer experience more fluid, and to allow a 360° expertise to improve in many specialties.

Remote loss adjusting for an agile service

With several hundred thousand cases handled each year, remote expertise often speeds up the claims management process. It is often preferred in the context of a claim with limited stakes, but it is not reserved for cases that could be described as “secondary”. Indeed, at Stelliant Loss Adjusting, we are aware of the importance of reactivity and fluidity that our intervention requires.

With this tool, policyholders only need a smartphone to have their damage assessed on the basis of supporting documents. Thanks to an application available on smartphones and tablets, the policyholder can contact a sedentary certified expert, capable of explaining the validity or inadmissibility of a claim from a distance. They have the same prerogatives as the field surveyors, and also establish the responsibilities of the various parties involved, before proceeding to calculate the amount of the damage. This amount of compensation is calculated according to the main insurance conventions (IRSI, CIDR, etc.).

For more complex claims, the Stelliant group has developed the Visio Terrain Expertise (VTE), which allows policyholders to benefit, remotely, from the analysis of an expert specialised in the terrain and the type of case. Major claims often involve a large number of expert meetings and appointments: VTE guarantees faster processing of these urgent, highly technical cases. In the event of a natural disaster, for example, it proves invaluable in establishing the damage and taking emergency measures as quickly as possible.

Whatever the issue at stake, the aim of video-expertise is twofold: to optimise both costs and time. The benefits for insurance professionals are numerous: easier negotiation, modernization of the relationship and the customer experience, immediate confirmation of the reality of the claim without having to travel, prior estimate before intervention on site if necessary…

Cutting-edge tools for streamlined case management

With the aim of simplifying claims management for both policyholders and insurers, Stelliant Loss Adjusting has developed Digiclaims, a solution entirely designed to meet these expectations. Accessible from a computer or a mobile phone, the tool allows you to carry out all the procedures related to a claim in just a few clicks.

Digiclaims is a real time-saver:

  • For policyholders, who can fill in the information needed to manage their file, obtain tailor-made solutions according to their profile and location, receive compensation or be put in touch with repairers. All this with a complete, available and free assistance service.
  • For insurance managers, who can assess claims from a dedicated interface, propose personalised solutions to their customers or offer additional services.

But the innovation of tools does not stop there, as shown by Digivol: a solution entirely dedicated to theft-related claims. And this is just a fraction of the many technological horizons explored by the Stelliant group: chatbot, online appointment scheduling with an expert (remotely or at home), Visio-Predict + for drought files, artificial intelligence, etc.

New technologies supporting assessment & loss adjustment

Apart from case management, innovative technology is radically transforming field loss adjusting.

Drone loss adjusting, in particular, has expanded by leaps and bounds, because it offers significant advantages in safety and efficiency. Easily manoeuvrable, this device makes it possible to access dangerous or elevated areas, which are otherwise difficult to examine. It is a precious ally in responding to large-scale claims, and it also significantly reduces associated costs.

Another very promising technology is the 3D scanner, which appears to be a fast and reliable way to gather information about an incident. The tool makes it possible to digitalise a part or a building with extreme precision, which means it can be used to perform a virtual site visit. It is the perfect medium to do an exhaustive digital lost adjustment, or to reconstruct a fire using INQUEST, Stelliant’s Consulting and Risk Management subsidiary.

As with digital modelling, the 3D scanner means that investigations can continue with digital simulations. For example, to reconstruct the causes and circumstances of a car accident or the progression of a fire, or to look at the underpinning on a collapsed building.

Whatever the claim, Stelliant Loss Adjusting strives to mobilise the human, material and technological resources that are the best fit for the job. By putting innovation to work for loss adjusting, we can live up to our ambition: offering agile, high-performance insurance services in any circumstances.
