Being subject to numerous risks (fire, vandalism, water damage, etc.), a damaged building is detrimental to the business or professional affected. Even if it is not completely destroyed, the damage caused can render it unusable, generating material and immaterial consequences that require viable repair solutions. With several thousand building damage cases handled each year, our CRAC-approved loss adjusters provide insurers and policyholders with the benefit of their detailed knowledge of the disorders that can affect buildings.

Results of a damaged building

Standards and regulations in construction and building are strict and constantly changing. The order of 30 June 1999 on acoustic characteristics of residential buildings, the 2012 Heating Regulation (RT 2012) for new buildings, etc. The NF DTU (French Standards for Unified Codes of Practice) were introduced in 1993 by the BNTEC (French Office for Standardisation of Building Construction Techniques and Equipment) and set the rules and conditions for contracts between the project owner and project manager. A safeguard when a loss occurs.

Whatever the building and its business sector, an incident can have a major impact on all professionals.
Fire, water damage, natural disaster, electrical damage or malicious acts, these types of incidents can render the damaged building unfit for use and therefore bring business to a halt. But building damage is not just limited to this risk. Consequences can be more serious: collapse, pollution, asbestos, etc.

No matter the risk, insurance professionals can trust Stelliant Loss Adjusting to carry out their mission with policyholders. Beyond the loss adjustment and the administrative support, our building loss adjusters make it their goal to manage the claim from A to Z, including offering cleaning and repair solutions.

Construction loss adjusting by CRAC experts

Aware of the problems specific to each sector of activity and its uses, we mobilise loss adjusters specialised in the field concerned: agri-food, tertiary, automotive, etc.

With more than ten thousand cases handled per year, our team of loss adjusters follows a strict and optimised methodology in order to respect costs and deadlines. They recommend the initial conservation measures before proceeding with the diagnosis of the damaged structure. They then calculate the cost of the repair work. If the amount exceeds €25,000 in the context of a property damage guarantee, our loss adjusters submit the amount to the construction economists at QANTEX, a dedicated subsidiary of the Stelliant group.

This global intervention is based on the experience of men and women from specific fields: architects and engineers, air conditioning experts, lifts … But our mobilization based on cross-cutting skills is not limited to the construction expertise. The Stelliant group proposes a global and modular offer on the whole risk chain.

Building loss adjusters with excellent support

Once we are assigned a building damage case, we put together a team of highly qualified and certified loss adjusters.

When necessary, the expertise can be carried out through a collaborative work (the project mode) with the other services offered by the Group:

A material loss adjuster to assess the damage to the property;
A construction loss adjuster to ascertain and analyse the damage to the shell or the finishing work;
A financial loss adjuster to assess the operating losses and other non-material damages, consequences of the material damage.
In addition to expertise, the Stelliant group offers solutions such as post-loss repairs, via its subsidiary GEOP x PHENIX, which provides civil engineering services to insurers, alongside project owners: diagnostic analysis, project management, design and implementation of solutions to respond to all types of pathologies relating to the building (geotechnical, superstructure, acoustics with our subsidiary Geosynthesis)

These technical and scientific services are based in particular on innovative tools (3D scan, thermal camera drone, etc.) which enable our teams to develop economically controlled repair solutions, both in terms of time and cost.
